I've gotten so much more story feedback, too. Many people are willing to try discord, and that's great - I really enjoy the discord channel and have been able to talk to way more fans than before, as well as post Google Docs where anyone can watch me write as I write it - live. Even if I can get it updated to a newer version of PHP, it will fall behind in a year or two and the company will start charging me twice as much again for hosting until I change it. I can't justify the work and money required to bring the forum back online.
